            IGuard Overview

The digital video recording system
With distinct advantages for the integrator, dealer and the OEM.

THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ALL IGUARD's:
Currently Available with the Piranha III, FalconPlus & FalconQuattro

DISPLAY MODE "Plug & Play"
Plug&Play with iGuard means: Connect cameras, start recorder .. and recording is already taking place in a basic configuration. Immediately after first start by iGuard, all connected cameras are sought and displayed automatically. A configuration file is generated automatically. iGuard operates right from the start in display mode. The system shows all camera images in various split displays up to a 32-way split. Zooming of individual camera frames and their display on analog monitors are possible. Dome cameras and pan-tilt heads can be controlled using a graphic control panel as well as the keyboard - and, of course, by remote control as well. The dome cameras can be run to stored positions in a set time rhythm in automatic mode. Name manufacturers such as Panasonic, Pelco, Sensormatic and Sony are supported. The list of supported cameras is constantly being increased. The latest information on this can be found on the Internet. Stored reference images document the condition of the system. All main operation information on the cameras, alarms and system status are displayed clearly on the interface. Control output operation and status display are also carried out direct on the operator interface. A logbook also records all relevant information from the operation of the system.

INTEGRATED VIDEO SENSOR
Each camera can be turned into a motion detector at the click of a mouse.  Special filters for use outdoors reduce the possibility of false alarms to a  minimum. The volume of data from recording can also be limited by only saving motional images. Pre-alarms and run-ons can also be configured individually per camera. With the help of simple drawing tools, motion-sensitive areas can be defined very rapidly for analysis or excluded from analysis. The effect of the  settings for sensitivity and object size on the behaviour of the video sensor is  displayed visually for easier operation. An integrated time control makes is possible to differentiate between day and night operation of the video sensor.

9-way split display mode

16-way split display mode

PLAYBACK MODE & REMOTE ACCESS
The video and audio recordings are evaluated in playback. A timeline dialog (graphic time axis) shows all activities for each camera and accumulated alarms in various colour markings at a glance. If there are also audio recordings for a camera, they will be marked in colour on a parallel audio track. A click with the mouse on the markings takes you straight to the respective events. With the help of the unique iSearch technology, the search for movements within recordings in selected areas of a camera frame becomes simple child's play. Naturally, the recordings can also be traced comfortably using the search by date and time thanks to an exceptionally fast database. The output of individual frames to a printer or file as well as the export of complete AVI video sequences for saving to CD, DVD or interchangeable disc goes without saying, as does unrestricted zooming within the stored video.

iGUARD REMOTEVIEW
All iGuard functions can be controlled and configured using the licence-free remote control software RemoteView via LAN or ISDN. Even TRIPLEX display and camera control are no longer a problem. Up to 5 users can access the iGuard System simultaneously with RemoteView. A bandwidth limiter guarantees acceptable results without too placing too much burden on an LAN.

FULL TRIPLEX OPERATION
And so you don't lose sight of what's going on, you can even overlay live images in separate  windows during playback.

iGUARD IN NETWORK (LAN AND ISDN)
iGuard has multi-client capability - that means that up to 10 clients (9 LAN and 1 ISDN connection) can access the iGuard Server simultaneously with iGuard RemoteView.  They can track each connected camera, operate dome or pan-tilt cameras, control  outputs and call up all recorded video sequences, all by remote control - and if  you want, from anywhere in the world. A configurable band width restriction  between 20 kBit/s and 100 MBit/s prevents the network from being excessively  burdened. The operation of iGuard behind a firewall is also possible by a  selective release of ports.

VIRTUAL WATCHMAN TOUR
A virtual watchman establishes connections to various iGuard recording systems automatically by time control in a pre-set order and shows the required cameras. After an optional set time, the connection is interrupted and the next connection is set up.

iGUARD REMOTEVIEW
iGuard RemoteView is licence-free and included in the scope of delivery. It can be installed on as many computers as required within a network. iGuard RemoteView provides you with the following functions: observation of live cameras, access to stored video recordings, remote configuration, remote control of cameras, iGuard RemoteView is also called in to carry out database evaluation of an interchangeable disc on an analysis computer.

CONFIGURATION MODE "It's so easy",
iGuard is set up by just a few dialogs: System and user settings, configuration of the cameras, alarms and control outputs as well as the stipulation of monitoring tasks. An individual stipulation of picture quality and recording rate allows an effective distribution of the available capacity. And particularly important in practice: the possibility of storing reference frames. This means that disputable service or sabotage cases are rapidly clarified! Logical graphics illustrate clearly relationships and information about long-term recordings, motion-controlled recordings, pre-alarm memory and alarm scenarios and allow intuitive operation.

Hardware configuration                         Scenario configuration

E-MAIL and SMS
If required, e-mail and SMS  functions transfer incoming alarms to remote computers or mobile telephones. As an option, the servers can also be connected to the client according to event  with automatic transmission per alarm camera. Naturally, all relevant settings  can also be configured by remote control by dial-in per LAN or ISDN. This means  that burdensome and cost-intensive on-site service is at last a thing of the  past.

USER RIGHTS ON CHIP-CARD
iGuard 2.40  supports chip-card scanners of market leader Towitoko for storage of access data  and user rights. The operation of iGuard in connection with chip-cards replaces  the input of user name and password. Inserting one's own chip-card automatically  initiates a login in iGuard with the stored rights. Naturally, combined  operation chip-card and standard login are also possible.

AND WHAT'S MORE!
Time and cost-intensive  training is not necessary with iGuard. This is guaranteed by the user friendly  software design which has been created specifically for teach-in. Free-of charge client licences for remote access are included in the "It's so easy" package.
