The Horizon-4 displays the Windows® desktop across four monitors, extending your work area, but only occupies one slot in your PC.
Essentially, four graphics cards in one, the Horizon-4 has four independent S3 Savage 4 chips and four separate banks of 8MBytes of SGRAM - one per display channel - to bring superb image quality at high resolution and colour depths. With a top resolution of 1600 x 1200 64k Colour per screen you can be sure of displaying all the applications you need. If you need more screens, then you can simply install another Horizon card in your machine.
The Horizon-4VW-DIG provides a direct digital connection to the Visual circuits Reeltime 2 MPEG playback card. The combination of these two products enables both multi-screen and multi-channel MPEG playback to be performed from a single PC.
The digital interface allows MPEG2 decoded video to be routed to the Horizon's video overlays without conversion to analog and then re-conversion back to digital, ensuring the best possible picture quality. The video overlays can be sized and placed anywhere on the multi-screen desktop. Also, up to 4 MPEG playback channels can be viewed simultaneously using two Reeltime 2 cards.
• Digital Interface for up to 4 MPEG playback channels
• 4 X 4 digital cross point switch
• High Quality video decoders with 4 Composite or 2 S-video inputs
• Support for multiple Horizon cards
Note: Each Reeltime 2 MPEG Card provides 2-Channels of MPEG playback.
